EN 1090-2 EXC2: Certified Structural Steel Compliance
EN 1090-2 EXC2 certification is the European gold standard for the execution of load-bearing steel structures. At METUP, this accreditation guarantees that every welded frame, beam, or assembly we deliver meets rigorous safety and compliance requirements for medium-risk construction projects across Europe.
Our certified welders work under tightly controlled procedures—including visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and complete documentation for each project. All products are provided with CE marking as proof of conformity with EU regulations.
What this means for you?
- Scope: Covers design, fabrication, welding, surface treatment, and assembly of structural steel/aluminum components.
- Execution Class (EXC2): Applies to medium-complexity structures (e.g., commercial buildings, bridges) requiring robust control but not the strictest standards reserved for critical infrastructure.
- Materials & Welding: Strict requirements ensure durability and safety through certified materials and welding practices.
- Conformity Assessment: Compliance verified by documentation, standardized procedures, inspection reports—audited by independent bodies.
- CE Marking:
Products can be legally used or sold throughout the EU as proof of regulatory compliance.
